DINWIDDIE, VA. - Bruce Litton fully understands what winning the battle and losing the war means. The veteran driver of the IHRA/Summit Drag Racing Series, Wix Filters-sponsored Top Fueler has the unique ability to comprehend both sides of the scenario. At last season's Amalie Oil Summer Nationals, the 44-year old enclosed trailer dealership owner from Indianapolis won the race, only to leave with less points than the guy he beat in the final round. A couple of weeks ago, he was on the winning end of sorts in a smiliar situation.

For Litton, he didn't need to win the race, nor leave with the points lead to feel like a champion. His race was won the first time his team fired the motor.

"When you consider where we were earlier in the year and where we are now, you'll see that we leave this race as winners," explained Litton. "If you consider the obstacles that we had to overcome, you'll see how much God has blessed us."

Earlier in the year, Litton's entire race shop was leveled due to a fire. In just three months, the team reassembled a new racing operation from scratch in time to make the first call on the new season.

"I had a decision to make when I stood there in January and looked at that burned up building," explained Litton. "I could have chosen to quit and many would have understood. I couldn't do that. I took the difficult path and chose to rebuild. I do not regret my decision in the least."
