NORWALK, OH-- Quain Stott never looks forward to the completion of a drag racing season, but he sure would not miss any sleep if the misfortunes would go away. The frustration continues to mount as the Bug Eater-sponsored driver fell in the first round of competition, the victim of a holeshot. Stott had qualified sixth in the program.

Stott had dipped low into the 6.5 second range with a 6.515/216.55 qualifying effort. He was seeded opposite Landon Jordan in the program. Jordan, the former Pro Street racer, outreacted Stott and was able to fend him off for the victory by a 6.53/211.06 to 6.50/217.07.
