JOHNNY ROCCA'S TIN INDIAN '33 WILLYS SCORES BIG WIN AT GATEWAY GASSER GATHERING!

MADISON, ILL.--- There was just no competition that could handle the battle-proven, 1933 Willys of Johnny Rocca and driven by Australian Troy Critchley on this particular weekend in Madison, Ill. The duo scored a decisive victory at the Gateway Gasser Gathering, an event that is promoted every five years. This marked the second consecutive victory for Rocca and the Prolong-sponsored team at the event that was hosted by Gateway International Raceway.

The team heated up the program with low-6.5 elapsed times in 96-degree weather with 74-percent humidity. At one point, Critchley drove the Rocca-tuned machine to three consecutive 6.57 elapsed times.

"We run this race every five years and always have a blast," explained Rocca. "We were so consistent at times that people asked us if we were bracket racing. But, the main thing is, we had a good time and did well in the process for our sponsors."

Only Anglia, Henry J, Willys and Austin body styles were allowed to compete in the event. Several prominent members of the A/Gas Supercharged fraternity such as K.S. Pittman, Big John Mazmanian and Ohio George Montgomery were in attendance of this popular event.
