Nitto California NHRA Sport Compact Nationals presented by Import Tuner Fact Sheet

WHAT: Inaugural Nitto California NHRA Sport Compact Nationals presented by Import Tuner, the first of 10 events in the $2.1 million NHRA Summit Sport Compact Drag Racing Series. Heads-up, no breakout competition leading to 2004 NHRA Summit Sport Compact Drag Racing Series championships in five different categories (Pro RWD, Pro FWD, Modified, Turbo Magazine Hot Rod and Honda Tuning All Motor).
Two heads-up sportsman (Sport RWD and Sport FWD) classes.
Two dial-in E.T. bracket classes: ET1 - 14.00 or slower, ET2 - 13.99-12.00 also will compete during the weekend.

WHERE: California Dragway, Fontana, Calif. From the west: I-10 east, exit Cherry Ave., and go left (north). Speedway is located on Cherry Ave. (left hand side). From the south: I-15 north, exit 4th St., go left (east) to Cherry Ave., and go left. Speedway is located on Cherry Ave. (left hand side).

WHEN: Saturday and Sunday, March 13-14, 2004.

SCHEDULE:

SATURDAY, March 13 - Gates open at 7 a.m. Qualifying and time trials 9 a.m -5 p.m.
    HEADS-UP QUALIFYING SESSIONS at 1, 3 and 5 p.m.

SUNDAY, March 14 - Gates open at 8 a.m. E.T. time trials 9 a.m.-10 a.m..
    OPENING CEREMONIES begin at 12:30 p.m.
    FINAL ELIMINATIONS begin at 1 p.m.
    NHRA Stylefest presented by Extreme Autofest from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
    NHRA Extreme Bikini Jam will take place at 2 p.m.

TELEVISION:
Sunday, March 28, ESPN2 will televise 30 minutes of event coverage at noon (ET).
ESPN2 will replay the event coverage Friday, April 2, at 1:00 a.m. (ET)

TICKETS:
Tickets available at the gate. Saturday - Adult, $15; Sunday - Adult, $20; Weekend pass - Adult $30,
Children 12 and under are free.
