ROCKINGHAM, NC. - Dwayne Rice will become the third driver on the Moser Engineering Pro Stock team, joining charter members Ron Miller and Steve Spiess. Rice, 31, of Grove City, Ohio, will take over the controls of the team's 2001 Pontiac Grand-am.

Rice, who has been a formidable competitor behind the wheel of his family's Pontiac Firebird, feels that membership into this elite club has its privileges.

"I feel like a have been invited to be part of an incredible family," explained Rice. "I think this is going to be the start of a great working relationship. I plan to visit the winner's circle along the way."

Moser is confident that Rice is an excellent addition.

"I feel Dwayne is a really good driver," explained Moser. "We were looking to expand our team and he already uses Ron Miller power. It was a natural from that point on. The car fit him and was set up for him; we just had to do a little reconfiguring. He's starting at this race and will run the remainder of the season and the 2002 season."

Rice is scheduled to drive the Pontiac, but could end up in a forthcoming Chevrolet Cavalier.
