Grand Bend, Ont. - June 12, 2005 Four-time IHRA Top Fuel Champion Clay Millican of Team Werner/Kenny Koretsky Motorsports won his fourth IHRA Top Fuel race of the season at the Mopar Canadian Nationals at the Grand Bend Motorplex.

This marks Millican's 41st career victory, and his first victory under the new team ownership of Kenny Koretsky Motorsports. Earlier in the week it was announced that Koretsky, an NHRA Pro Stock Driver, Millican, and crew chief Mike Kloeber had acquired the team from Peter Lehman.

"Man, it feels really good to get our first win under the new ownership," said Millican. "I'm so proud of our guys for going out there and doing a great job all weekend long. This Werner team just gets the job done every time."

Millican was the number one qualifier with an elapsed time of 4.748 seconds at 295.53 mph. In the first round of eliminations he faced number eight qualifier Paul Athey. Millican got off the line first with a reaction time of .055 seconds to Athey's .098, and led the race the entire way, finishing with an E.T. of 4.705 to Athey's 5.140.

The second round featured Millican and longtime rival and friend, Bruce Litton. After a brief staging duel, Millican got off the line quicker and made a strong pass in 4.717 seconds at 311.49 mph, advancing to his fourth straight final round of the season. Litton lost traction and finished the pass in 6.682 seconds at 134.35 mph.

Millican made the quickest pass of the weekend with an E.T. of 4.681 at 309.98 mph to Paton's 5.574 at 179.90 mph to clinch his 41st career victory, and fourth straight win of the season.

Millican and Team Werner/Kenny Koretsky Motorsports' next IHRA race will be the IHRA Rocky Mountain Nationals in Edmonton, Alberta, on June 24-26, where they will attempt to win their fifth straight race and increase their lead in the IHRA Top Fuel points standings.
