EPPING, NH.-- When a drag racer feels that he is slipping in momentum, he can do one of two things. He can accept defeat and abort his mission. Or, he can turn up the wick and attack his foes with a relentless effort. Litton has never been a quitter, so that can logically only leave one option. He's got to attack the Top Fuel contingent as if they were a worst enemy.

"I like the IHRA Top Fuel racers that we compete against," explained Litton. "But, my crew has worked hard to get us to where we are today and we feel like we deserve better than second place. That is why I'm stepping up our intensity level and we're going to attack our foes head on."

Falling short in qualifying for the U.S. Nationals, which is hosted by his home track Indianapolis Raceway Park, Litton gained some positives in what could have been a negative scenario. He admittedly fell short of the 4.707 bump spot, but was still smiling. The veteran enclosed trailer dealer produced a 4.725 at 306.33 best in his two-race-old, Brad Hadman dragster.

Litton's next IHRA event will be Sept 11-12, the PARTS PRO North American Nationals at New England Dragway in Epping, NH. Top Fuel qualifying is set for Saturday, Sept. 11 with final eliminations scheduled to begin, Sunday, Sept. 14 at 12 noon.
