FARMINGTON, Mo. -- (Sept. 22, 2001) Allie Glatczak of Potosi was doubly dangerous Saturday night at Big River Sand Drags as she not only was the top eliminator in the Junior ATV class she repeated the feat in the ATV-1 class. The little blonde-haired girl with pigtails from Potosi finished in second place in the Junior ATV class, but then she defeated first place winner Cameron Coleman of Mineral Point in the top eliminator race.
Allie produced the exact same scenario in the next class (ATV-1) as she finished in second place behind Erika Camden of Bonne Terre, only to knock off her counterpart in the top eliminator race.
In Pro ATV, Justin King of Cadet was the first place winner with Jimmy Farris of Potosi taking second. Farris then defeated King in the top eliminator race. The win was extremely important to Farris who increased his points lead in the class with the victory.
In Vehicle ET, Philip Beaird of St. Louis was first with Gladys Edwards of St. Louis second. Edwards then knocked off Beaird to win the top eliminator race.
In Off Road Modified, Todd Dee of Leadwood was the first place and top eliminator winner while Kevin Sellers of Arnold finished in second place. In Open 4x4, Terry Wies of Wentzville finished first with Steve Barton of Bonne Terre second. Barton was the top eliminator.
In Race Rail, Tim Dee of Bismarck was the first place winner. The 2001 regular season at Big River Sand Drags will conclude this Saturday night with Racer and Fan Appreciation Night. Various activities will be going on at the track along with a sound system that will be playing from 5 - 7 p.m.
The final event of the season at Big River Sand Drags will take place the weekend of Oct. 6-7th when the track hosts the ATV Nationals with a $5,000 guaranteed purse.
