LANG LOOKING TO CONTINUE WINNING PACE

ATLANTA – Three time AMA/Prostar World Champion Tony Lang is looking to continue his winning way at the 7th annual AMA/Prostar Rebel Nationals, which will be held at Atlanta Dragway March 27-29.

Dubbed "Tony The Tiger", Lang is an absolute terror on the circuit. In 1997 he won every race and ran the quickest elapsed times at each event. "Although we can run fast, I am looking to do it consistently this year" explained Lang, "we are trying control the clutch and fuel system better in an attempt to be able to run consistent 6.0-second times."

The quickest pass ever a Top Fuel motorcycle, 6.069-second, was set by the late-Elmer Trett in 1996 and has not been beat. "Traction is a real issue, these bikes are on the edge all the way down the track." Lang has run as fast as 6.08-seconds and hopes to be the first rider in the elusive five second zone.

"We are looking at this season as a clean slate" said Lang, "all of the other competitors starting running very well towards the end of last season, so it will be a very exciting season."
