Max Sandritter celebrates double victory in China
A strong showing: Max Sandritter, the "vice" champion in the ADAC Volkswagen Polo Cup in Germany celebrated an impressive double victory in China. In both races of the Scirocco Cup at the brand new Guangdong International Circuit in the south of the People's Republic the 20 year-old junior racing driver outperformed his rivals. Although in qualifying Sandritter had to admit a narrow defeat by finishing in third place he was leading the first race as early as after the first lap - the rivals in front of him had bumped each other off the track. In the second race - the top eight started in reverse order of their finishing positions - the German from Raubling overtook one opponent after the other and snatched the lead after four laps. Sandritter had won the competition for the best media relations effort on a driver's own behalf in the German cup and had been awarded the prize of participating in the international exchange programme.
