Annie Seel - Bike

1m62 and 54 kg. Annie Seel might be small in size but certainly not in caliber! This tiny lady has a strong mind and a strong personality that she has been endlessly using to push her big KTM to the peak of its limits.

"All road rally raids, she says, are my life's passion! I tried everything on a bike then I turned to rally raid racing in 2000 when I was 32 years old and I love it. I am a woman in a world of men but the great part is that people respect me; espacially those riders I pass by on the trail because we all share the same passion.

Today, the bivouac of the Dakar is almost like a huge campground; we have showers, restrooms, nice dinners... It is not as tough as it used to be but on the trail it remains harsh.

I already knew Argentina and Chile because I took part in the Rallye Por Las Pampas in 2005, but I did not remember there was so much dust. My problem is that I am not tall and with my short legs, when I drive through fesh-fesh, I am at a disadvantage...

I would love to finish in the Top 30 of the raid... If I don't fall, if I don't hurt myself, if I don't break anything, I think I might believe in this dream coming true!"
