The Indo-French entry continued their good run in the Dakar Rally with Joan Pedrero and Alain Duclos maintaining their top 10 finish at the end of Stage 8.
With Duclos having a difficult run in the 393km Salta-Belen stretch, Pedrero took clear advantage to move ahead of his French teammate in the standings.
The Spanish rider finished ninth, both in the stage as well as in the general ranking on the RTR 450 bike.
Duclos, meanwhile, kept his 10th position overall and was classified 13th in the eighth stage to start the second week.
Up ahead, KTM's Toby Price took the lead from Honda's Paulo Goncalves after winning his fourth stage of the Dakar Rally.
Sherco's Florent Vaysaade also continued his improved run finishing 31st in both the standings to end the day.
