The Sherco TVS riders had a rough Stage 10 in the Dakar Rally on Wednesday with Joan Pedrero retiring from the rally.
With the rally nearing its end, the Indo-French team faced its worst day in the shortened Stage 10 of Belen - La Rioja.
The first bit of bad news was Pedrero's crash before the second way point. The Spanish rider's Twitter read that the impact of the fall was big enough for him to retire.
While Pedrero was fine, he became the first retirement for the Sherco TVS team, who faced further issues on Alain Duclos' RTR 450.
The French driver finished 62nd in the day's run which dropped him to 22nd in the overall rankings.
Teammate Florent Vayssade recovered to end 47th in the ranking stage while 31st in the general standing.
Both riders lost chunks of time and position between the second and third way point, it is unclear as to what happened.
Up ahead, KTM's Toby Price continued to lead while teammate Stefan Svitko bagged his first stage win of the rally.
