Lewandowski, a known motorsport fan who was a guest this year's Monaco GP, told Playboy that he is eager to try his hand at driving in the future.

His target is the famous Dakar Rally, the Polish superstar claiming that he's spoken to his wife about competing at the South American rally raid at some point when he has the time to properly focus on it.

"Driving cars is my escape from the world," the 29-year-old said, "and I've always been really interested in motorsport.

"The problem is that you have to be 100 per cent committed to motorsport, and that means more sacrifices. We will see."

Lewandowski's Dakar revelation comes off the back of the announcement that former Chelsea and Spurs manager Andre Villas-Boas will compete at next year's Dakar.
