Liaison: 13 km - Special stage: 228 km - Liaison: 37 km - Total: 278 km

O9:36 - The finish line in Ghadames, Libya will be the scene of the first moment of truth on the Dakar. Completely off-road, the special is based on total navigation with Ergs to be crossed and successions of dunes. The special is extremely detailed on the road books to prevent competitors finding themselves in larger dunes. Quite a few GPS points have been signaled to the competitors. For the leaders, it shouldn't be a problem. For the newcomers however, the day promises to be difficult. A stage for the strongest pilots.
