Hero MotoSports Rally Team's CS Santosh finishes inside Top 70 as Dakar Rally resumed after two-day gap with Stage 7, while TVS Sherco riders complete a balanced run.
With Stage 5 truncated and Stage 6 totally cancelled due to poor weather in Bolivia, Monday's seventh stage from La Paz to Uyuni ran only for 161km on a newly designed course, combining Stage 6 and Stage 7's route.
The sole remaining Indian rider, Santosh, had a sound stint finishing 38th in the order, 33m09s behind stage winner Ricky Brabec, thereby getting himself inside the Top 70 at 67th overall.
His Portuguese teammate Joaquim Rodrigues was down to 20th in the stage on the Speedbrain 450 bike, but maintained his 11th spot in the general rankings, over one hour behind KTM's Sam Sunderland.
Meanwhile, the TVS Sherco riders were also able to end the stage improving on their positions, Joan Pedrero finished 21st in Stage 7 and sits 22nd overall, improving by two places.
And his teammate Adrien Metge continued his upward trend in the rally ending up 14th in the stage, therefore getting up to 41st on his RTR 450 bike.
The Frenchman was the highest ranked rider among the two Indian manufacturer teams in Stage 7, a mere 13m05s on Brabec, while Rodrigues leads the way in overall standings.
