ASO report inaccurate, Senn Van Basel okay

Some rather relieving news but now the question is where did the A.S.O get this report from?

The official Dakar site reported earlier today that Dutch rider Humphrey Senn Van Basel was transported to a medical bivouac with a 'traumatic brain injury.' We now know this to be false.

He has contacted his family and told them that he is alright. It is unclear whether the ASO just got the wrong information or that there is actually a rider with the aforementioned injuries, they were just mistaken in the name.

The below set of text messages (in Dutch) is the exchange between Humphrey and one of his family members. He ends the conversation with an adamant 'no!' in response to the ASO report.

We will update you as soon as we know anything new.
