Jordan Szoke breaks Pascal Picotte's qualifying record in the PRO 600

Montreal, June 2, 2007 - The qualifying rounds were in full swing until 2 pm when rain made the track too slippery. Jordan Szoke broke the PRO 600 qualifying speed record held by Pascal Picotte since 2003. Szoke's time of 1:41.645 was just four one-hundredths of a second faster than Picotte's 1:41.685. At noon tomorrow, Szoke, Picotte, Crevier and Nelson will line up for the PRO 600 series in what promises to be an exciting start.

Because of the rain and oil on the track, the organizers decided to cancel the qualifying rounds of the Superbike, AM 600, Suzuki SV650 and Pro Honda Women's Cup Challenge. The morning's practice rounds will determine the starting order for Sunday's races.
