Circuit Mont-Tremblant ready to rock

MONTREAL, QC - The biggest Superbike show in Canada will take place in Montreal and at Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant this August.

Sponsored by Coors Light, Suzuki, Honda and Musique Plus, the Coors Light Superbike event at Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant will features parties, extensive exposure on Quebec's Musique Plus all-music television station and a contest.

Capping the five-day festival will be the seventh round of the Parts Canada Superbike Championship at Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant on Sunday, Aug. 17. This is the first visit of Canada's national motorcycle road racing series to the spectacular and scenic racing venue.

"This will be the biggest Superbike show ever in Canada," said event organizer Pierre Major.

Festivities get underway on Wednesday, Aug. 13 with the Coors Light Superbike party on Crescent Street in downtown Montreal.

From there the action moves to Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant, where open practice for the Parts Canada Superbike Championship competitors will begin on Thursday, Aug. 14. Spectators will be able to tour the paddock and meet Canada's top motorcycle racing stars.

Further practice and qualifying will be held at the track Friday and Saturday. A major party and concert will be staged Saturday night in Mont-Tremblant.

Sunday will be race day, as the stars of the Parts Canada Superbike Championship do battle over the 2.65-mile, 15-turn track. Feature races will also be held for the Hindle Exhaust Pro 600 Sport Bike and International Motorcycle SUPERSHOW Amateur 600 national support classes, the Diablo Can-Am 125GP series and Quebec's ASM Amateur Superbike championship.

The event will receive a major build-up on Musique Plus, with commercials due to run 252 times in prime time from July 24 to Aug. 14. Musique Plus is the French language equivalent to Muchmusic.

The Musique Plus website will feature the Coors Light Tremblant Superbike Sweepstakes. The first prize winner will take home a major grand prize, while 30 runners-up will board the Coors Light Silver Bullet Bus at Musique Plus headquarters in Montreal and travel to Mont-Tremblant on Sunday to enjoy a VIP day at the races.

In addition, the Coors Light Superbike event will receive 36 live on-air mentions on Musique Plus and during the event nine live broadcasts will be done from Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant.

Musique Plus will also conduct live studio interviews with stars from the Parts Canada Superbike Championship on the morning of Aug. 13 and provide a live remote from the Coors Light Superbike party that evening.

This year's Parts Canada Superbike Championship gets underway at Shannonville Motorsport Park this weekend and makes seven stops at six different venues across the country, including Mosport International Raceway, which will host Superbike feature races Saturday, July 19 and Sunday, July 20.
