Wolfe Motorsports, LVMS invite Child Haven to the Bullring

LAS VEGAS— Children from Child Haven will attend the 11th Annual NASCAR Late Model Classic presented by Star Nursery Saturday at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Wolfe Motorports and NASCAR Late Model driver Jason Allen extended the invitation to Child Haven. LVMS and Finish Line Events will supply tickets and dinner for the children.

“ The ability to help such a worthy cause and to be associated with this gives us all, at Finish Line Events, great pleasure,” said Paul Powell, food and beverage director.

Allen, 2001 Bullring NASCAR Late Model champion and rookie of the year, looks to gain the support of the children as he goes for his third late model career win.

“ We are very honored that LVMS and FLE have joined with us to bring the kids out to such an exciting event at the Star Nursery Open Comp,” Allen said.“ We are looking forward to competing in the open comp and this is our first opportunity to race as champions. We are looking forward to running 140 laps and hopefully we can finish up front with our PC Motorsports, AMSOIL Pontiac.”

Child Haven is a community safe home for abused and neglected children in the Las Vegas valley.

In addition to NASCAR Late Models, the Mechanix Wear Speed Trucks return to the Bullring for a 100-lap feature race.

Pit gates open at 1:00 p.m. Spectator gates open at 4:00 p.m. Time trials begin at 5:00 p.m. with racing at 6:30 p.m.

General admission is $10 for adults, $8 for senior citizens/military personnel and $3 for children 6-12. Children five and under are free. Admission to the Stockyard is $30 per vehicle (maximum of four people, each additional person is $8).
