Take A 'Ride For Life'
Alton, Va. . . Virginia Commonwealth University's MCV's Massey Cancer Center, the Virginia Motorcyclists Against Cancer (VaMAC), and Virginia International Raceway (VIR) are teaming up to raise awareness and money to eradicate cancer. On September 29th and 30th, motorcycle enthusiasts, their friends and supporters are invited to participate in a "Ride for Life." Participants will ride or drive to Virginia International Raceway near Danville, Virginia to experience thrilling days at the races--the American Motorcycle Association Superbike Championship "Virginia Lightning Nationals." A portion of the proceeds from the admission price and Parade Lap will benefit Massey Cancer Center, an internationally recognized center for cancer research, cancer education and patient care.
Everyone is welcome, including supporters who choose to drive, and all are encouraged to stop by the Massey Cancer Center - VaMAC tent in the vendor area both days from 11am-4pm. Motorcycle riders, from around the state, will join others committed to the fight against cancer for a day of celebration and information. Guests will mingle to good music and will have the opportunity to make an additional personal donation to help eradicate this dreaded disease.
The fight against cancer is waged by thousands of Virginians and their families. VaMac invites everyone to "Take a Ride for Life" to VIR, stop in at the Massey Cancer Center - VaMAC tent, and help us make a difference.
