Team Apex USA will be participating in the annual Tour de Road America on Friday evening, August 15, 2009, during the Time Warner Cable Road Race Showcase featuring the American Le Mans Series and SPEED World Challenge at Road America in Elkhart Lake, WI.

The Tour de Road America is a family friendly bicycle ride in support of fighting cancer. Participants can choose how many laps they would like to take around the four mile road course. Several race teams, drivers, series personnel, fans, and local cyclists take part in the Tour de Road America.

According to Martin Bates, Team Manager, "We all know someone that has been affected by cancer so we should consider ourselves lucky to be able to do what we do and have the health that we have. The team will have fun, raise awareness & some money too by participating in the ride." Representing Team Apex USA is Louis D'Agostino, Technical Director; Joao Horto, Driver of then No. 18 Formula BMW, and Bates.

This year, the organization's goal is to raise $40,000 to benefit the Livestrong Lance Armstrong Foundation, Austin Hatcher Foundation, The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, and Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic.

Team Apex USA will also be competing in Rounds 10, 11, and 12 of the Formula BMW Americas Championship on Saturday, August 15th and Sunday, August 16th during the Time Warner Cable Road Race Showcase featuring the American Le Mans Series and SPEED World Challenge.
