The Barber Dodge Pro Series didn't race in Long Beach last April, but that didn't stop Lynx racer Sara Senske from getting in on some action. Senske took part in the Toyota Pro Celebrity race, an event that garners almost as much attention as the feature CART FedEx Series.

Senske also took the time to pay a visit to the Long Beach Children's Hospital as part of a Racing For Kids visit. Joining her was fellow Skip Barber trained driver Daniel Wheldon as well as a host of other celebrities partaking in the weekends festivities.

Racing for Kids is the Official Charity of the Barber Dodge Pro Series. Every year it makes dozens of visits to pediatric wards across the country with participating Racing For Kids drivers like Senske to raise awareness of children's health care issues. For many of the youngsters the visits are a welcome ray of joy in an otherwise less than pleasant circumstance. Whether racing fans or not, the driver visits provide the opportunity to leave their troubles behind if only for a moment to make a new friend.
