OMV, Central Europe's leading crude oil and natural gas group, will continue the project Move & Help, founded in 2004, in 2007. For the first time the drivers of the OMV Kronos Citroen World Rally Team will be more strongly involved in the project in cooperation with Caritas, SOS Children's Village and UNICEF. Each completed special stage kilometre this season will be worth EUR 20. Thereby educational programs - also concerning road safety - for over 35.000 children and youths in Europe and Pakistan will be supported. Several activities will accompany the project throughout the year. It will commence in Monte Carlo with OMV Move & Help T-shirts for the fans.

EUR 6.580 at the finish line in Monte Carlo

Everyone should keep their fingers crossed for the OMV Kronos Citroen World Rally Team to reach the finish line each time during the FIA World Rally Championship 2007. And it is not only the sportive aspect that counts. For if Manfred Stohl and Ilka Minor drive over the finish ramp in Monte Carlo after 329 special stage kilometres, it would mean EUR 6.580 overall. This and all further amounts from the remaining 15 WRC runs will benefit the OMV Move & Help partners Caritas, SOS Children's Village and UNICEF for supporting educational projects. The topical amount of donations and all accompanying activities can be followed on a LCD-screen at the service at the OMV Kronos Citroen World Rally Team, as well as at www.owrt.com.

OMV rally drivers for road safety

"OMV Move & Help will be an integrated part of our rally activities this year. The main focus will be on road safety for children and youths. Our rally sport professionals are ideally suited to support the projects and their contents ", explains Brigitte Mühlwisch, Head of Corporate Sponsorship of OMV. The program of the three partner-NGO's Caritas, SOS Children's Village and UNICEF encompasses, among others, moped- and driving license training, as well as safety on the way to school and road safety education for teachers and children.

Keeping fingers crossed will be rewarded in Monte Carlo

In order to reward the fans on the spot for keeping their fingers crossed they will be given ten signed and autographed T-shirts for each special stage in Monte Carlo completed by the OMV Kronos Citroen World Rally Team. This would amount to 150 OMV Move & Help T-shirts if the finish line should be reached. These will be handed out in the service park.
