TEAM BRAVEHEART AT NORWALK NHRA RACE
NORWALK, Ohio (June 24, 2008) -- David Powers Motorsports will host Team BraveHeart, a group of children with congenital heart defects, during the second annual Summit Racing Equipment Nationals on Friday, June 27, at Summit Racing Motorsports Park. Team BraveHeart's mission is to make available opportunities to children between the ages of seven and 18-years-of-age afflicted with congenital heart disease.
DPM will host the second annual Team BraveHeart Conference from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. in its Iron Eagle Club hospitality area at Summit Racing Motorsports Park. The team will host 42 guests where they will experience a day of the world's fastest motor sport. The team also will provide lunch and gift bags for the guests of Team BraveHeart. NHRA pros Antron Brown, Hot Rod Fuller and Jack Beckman will visit with the guests of Team BraveHeart.
"This couldn't be more of a blessing to have David Powers Motorsports involved in another life-changing event for children with heart defects," Team BraveHeart Executive Director Jennifer Lafler said. "Team BraveHeart, with the help of DPM, will be able to provide opportunities for our BraveHeart's to look past their challenges, look towards the future, and develop everlasting strength with the support of the NHRA racing community."
Congenital heart defects affect every one in 115 births. The Ohio-based group aims to raise awareness for funding and research and promote a heart healthy attitude and positive mental attitude for courageous children.

"We feel fortunate that Jennifer (Lafler) and Team BraveHeart approached us with this opportunity and we hope the entire group has a terrific NHRA experience. The NHRA is a very giving community and we hope Team BraveHeart will continue to use the NHRA as a venue to showcase our sport for many years to come."
