THREE SUCCESSFUL ORGANIZATIONS CREATE NEW PARTNERSHIP IN SUPPORT OF LONG BEACH CHARITIES

Seat to Compete in the Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race up for Bid at Charity Ball

TORRANCE, Calif. (April 27, 2006) - Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A., the Grand Prix Foundation of Long Beach and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Long Beach are joining forces to support local charities in Southern California through a jointly hosted charity ball during the 2007 Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach race week.

On Wednesday, April 11, the Toyota Charity Ball in conjunction with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Long Beach and the Grand Prix Foundation will feature silent and live auctions, including a chance to bid in person or online for a seat to compete in the 2008 Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race. The highest bidder will win an opportunity to train and race alongside a select group of notable celebrities and professional drivers on the famed 1.97-mile, 11-turn street circuit in downtown Long Beach. All proceeds from the charity auction will be split between the Grand Prix Foundation and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Long Beach.

"Being able to provide the unique opportunity to compete in the 2008 Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race is another example of Toyota's commitment to community outreach and philanthropy," said Les Unger, Toyota national motorsports manager. "The winning bidder will have the experience of a lifetime while supporting a great cause."

In past years, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Long Beach and the Grand Prix Foundation have hosted separate charity events, promoting similar causes. In partnership with Toyota, the Grand Prix Foundation and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Long Beach have merged the two events to create one charity ball that will benefit up to five local charities.

"The Grand Prix Foundation board was unanimous in its approval to team with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Long Beach and Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A. to put on the 2007 Charity Ball," said Rick Duree, president of the Grand Prix Foundation of Long Beach. "We look forward to a long and prosperous alliance with those two great organizations to benefit local charities."

"We are excited about the opportunity to partner with Toyota and the Grand Prix Foundation to raise funds to provide additional services to larger numbers of youth in Long Beach," said Don Rodriguez, executive director of Boys & Girls Clubs of Long Beach. "Our Annual Gala has become one of the largest events in town and this partnership will bring the message of youth development to an international audience."

The 33rd Annual Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, once again featuring the Champ Car World Series, will take place on the streets of downtown Long Beach April 13-15, 2007.
