The 2001 Sprint / Kyle Petty Charity Ride pulled into Draper, Utah and was greeted by 35 Victory Motorcycle Club members who are participating in a Victory Motorcycle Club Ride. The Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America has had an association the past three years with Victory Motorcycles as founder of the event, Kyle Petty, rides a Victory Motorcycle exclusively. The participants in the Victory Motorcycle Club Ride took the opportunity to present Kyle with a $2,500 check for the Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America.

LONG AND WINDING ROAD
The participants in the 2001 Sprint / Kyle Petty Charity Ride will face their longest day on Tuesday as they tackle over 560 miles of blacktop. The route will find the caravan leaving Grand Junction at 7 a.m. traveling through Colorado until they enter Kansas and stop in the city of Hays for the night with an estimated arrival at 9 p.m.

ALONG FOR THE RIDE
The Sprint E/Solutions E/Bus is along for the ride, the Sprint / Kyle Petty Charity Ride. The bus carries a wealth of technology that Sprint offers including the ability to check e-mail on a wireless equipped laptop, send a fax to just make a phone call. The Sprint E/ Solutions E/Bus is available to all participants during the ride with scheduled stops at fuel and lunch locations.

TOAST OF THE TOWN
Kyle Petty and the participants of his Charity Ride were greeted with a hero's welcome at the Grand Junction Harley-Davidson on Monday evening. Over 250 people came out to welcome the riders to Grand Junction and treat them to dinner. Kyle Petty was joined by his colleagues, Steve Park and Ken Schrader and treated fans to an impromptu autograph session.

** The national charity for the 2001 Sprint / Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America is the Victory Junction Gang Camp. Founded by Kyle and Pattie Petty, the Camp will serve as a retreat for children with chronic or life threatening illnesses and will be in honor of their son, Adam Petty. The Camp, the seventh in a network of The Hole in the Wall Gang Camps, founded for Kids by Paul Newman, is scheduled to open in Summer 2004 in Randleman, NC.
