Dale Jarrett's Taurus to wear "RACE FANS FOR A CURE(tm)" PINK Ribbon in the Winston, Coca-Cola 600.

(DEARBORN, Mich., May 10, 2002) - For the past two-plus years, thousands of race fans have shown their support for Race Fans for a Cure(tm) by wearing pink ribbons. For the next two races, Dale Jarrett's famed No. 88 NASCAR Winston Cup Taurus will do the same.

In support of Race Fans for a Cure(tm) - a joint initiative involving Ford Credit, Dale and Kelley Jarrett and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation - the 7½" x 14" ribbon decal will replace the Ford Credit decal behind the "88" on both sides of Dale Jarrett's Winston Cup Taurus for The Winston on May 18 and the Coca-Cola 600 on May 26.

"Charlotte is the perfect place for Dale Jarrett's car to wear the Race Fans for a Cure(tm) ribbon," said Phil Gordon, Ford Credit Motorsports Marketing Manager. "All of the fans and the entire Charlotte community have always been very supportive of the program. This is our way of recognizing the contributions we've received from the local Komen Foundation affiliates, the 88 team and all of the loyal fans."

Race Fans for a Cure(tm) is designed to increase awareness of breast cancer and the importance of early detection, and to provide ways for fans to support the Komen Foundation and its mission to eradicate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease. Ford Credit, associate sponsor of Jarrett's No. 88 Taurus, sponsors Race Fans for a Cure(tm) display booths at various race-related events - including the NASCAR Winston Cup and Busch Series weekend at Lowe's Motor Speedway on Saturday, May 25, and Sunday, May 26. Display booths will also be at the 600 Festival in downtown Charlotte from May 23 to 25; Dale Jarrett Ford in Monroe, N.C. on May 16; and Dale Jarrett, Inc., in Newton, N.C., on May 24.

The display booths offer information about the Komen Foundation and its mission to eradicate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease by advancing research, education, screening and treatment, and are equipped to accept donations from fans. All proceeds go to the Komen Foundation to support the fight against breast cancer through funding of innovative research and community-based outreach programs. Race Fans for a Cure(tm) has raised $22,988.60 so far in 2002, and more than $157,000 since its inception in 2000.
