October 13, 2005 (San Clemente, CA) - In conjunction with this weekend's race events at the world famous California Speedway in Fontana, Bullet-Team Motorsports and driver Taylor Fletcher have added another powerful fund raising venture in their quest to support the official Team Charity of World Vision.

"World Vision is excited to have Taylor Fletcher and Bullet-Team Motorsports help the survivors of the Gulf Coast hurricanes," says Dana Buck, World Vision's Strategic Alliances Director. "It is our pleasure to work with Mr. Fletcher and we wish Bullet-Team Motorsports the best of luck this weekend."

Traumatized and homeless, up to a million people have been displaced, and hundreds -- possibly thousands -- killed in Hurricane Katrina's devastating aftermath. Ensuing flooding, fires, and violence wreaked havoc in the region. And recently, Hurricane Rita struck the Gulf Coast again, causing new hardships for evacuees already struggling to cope. Children and their families, many living in shelters and temporary housing, are trying to regain a sense of normalcy in their lives.

"Many of these families still need clean water, clothing, shoes, and personal care items," stated Taylor Fletcher. He goes on to say, "I am very excited to be involved in this relief effort and hope that racing this weekend will generate greater awareness and additional donations to help the survivors of the Gulf Coast hurricanes,"

World Vision is responding with aid and supplies for children and families through our partnership with churches, community, and faith-based organizations. To date, World Vision has shipped 87 truckloads of needed supplies to the Gulf Coast region. In addition to relief supplies, World Vision is providing technical expertise on emergency relief and recovery. As aid efforts move from emergency relief to long-term recovery, World Vision is partnering with these organizations to provide resources needed for clean-up, repair and rebuilding the region.
