Fredericktown Raceway to lend helping hand to victims of natural disasters.

FREDERICKTOWN, Mo. -- (May 16, 2002) Due to all of the natural disasters that have struck the Madison County area in recent weeks the Fredericktown Raceway and its racers are joining together to support the community during this time of need.

On Friday, May 24th, the raceway will hold Firefighter/Law Enforcement Appreciation Night. On that evening all area firefighters and law enforcement officials with proper ID will be admitted free to the main grandstand area. Also, all fans who bring a minimum of five cans of non-perishable food with them will be admitted to the main grandstand for only $5.

In addition, track promoter Denny Keith is asking all drivers from the UMP Late Model class, RAMS Mini Stocks, Pro Streets and Pure Street classes to bring cans of food with them that evening to help the cause. In recent weeks residents of Madison County have been hit hard by floods that have forced residents from their homes and a tornado that caused mass destruction. Area firefighters and law enforcement officials have gone above and beyond the call of duty to assist area residents through this tragic period of time.

For more information on this important night at the Fredericktown Raceway contact Denny Keith at (573) 697-5459 or Jeff Mills at (573) 747-0566. Your help and assistance will be greatly appreciated.
