The Dale Earnhardt Foundation and feed the children team again to help local families.
ATLANTA, GA (October 23, 2003) -- Visitors to the Atlanta Motor Speedway this weekend will notice something different outside the Earnhardt Grandstand: a Dale Earnhardt Foundation / Feed The Children semi-tractor trailer truck. As part of a recently announced partnership with international hunger relief organization Feed The Children, The Dale Earnhardt Foundation has sponsored a semi tractor-trailer truck of food to help needy children and families in Atlanta.
Over the next year, the Dale Earnhardt Foundation will sponsor Feed The Children food distributions to feeding agencies in or near communities where Dale Earnhardt raced during his illustrious Winston Cup career. The Atlanta food distribution will be delivered to local hunger organization Compassion Atlanta on Thursday, October 23 at 1:30 p.m. at their facility at 380 14th Street NW.
After the delivery the Dale Earnhardt/Feed The Children truck will be parked for the entire weekend outside of the Earnhardt Grandstand on the Southeast edge of the Atlanta Motor Speedway. The truck will also make a parade lap around the track at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, October 26.
