Advance Auto Parts/Cruz Pedregon Racing show support for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Clermont, IN --Surrounding the U.S. Nationals, Advance Auto Parts and Cruz Pedregon Racing will be showing their support for The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. By displaying special JDRF logo decals on the Funny Car body, the Advance Auto Parts Racing Team will be honoring the foundation while increasing research awareness with fans. At the end of the event, Cruz Pedregon will also be donating his JDRF helmet to be auctioned off for fundraising purposes toward the foundation.
"We fully support the JDRF and all their efforts," commented Pedregon. "We are making our runs in Indianapolis in honor of the foundation. Advance Auto Parts is such a strong supporter of the JDRF, it just makes sense to do what we can to help out."
JDRF is the world's leading nonprofit, non governmental funder of the diabetes research. It is the only major diabetes organization focused exclusively on research. In a typical year, 85 percent of JDRF's expenditures directly support research and education about research. Named by Worth magazine as one of "America's 100 Best Charities," JDRF strives to find a cure while preventing diabetes and it's recurrence.
On the national level, Advance Auto Parts supports The Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund by helping out with fundraising and research campaigns. Advance Auto Parts is the second largest retail JDRF supporter in the world. Having raised over $8 million dollars in the last six years, Advance has become a fundraising model for companies across the nation.
Cruz Pedregon and the Advance Auto Parts Racing Team will be competing this weekend, August 30th --Spetember 2nd, at the NHRA Mac Tools U.S. Nationals. Indianapolis Raceway Park in Clermont, IN will host the 48th Annual event over Labor Day weekend.
