KANSAS, Mo. (September 27, 2001) -- Coors Brewing Company will continue its effort to help the victims of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on America by extending its $10 donation for every lap that the No. 40 Coors Light Dodge R/T completes in this weekend's NASCAR Winston Cup race in Kansas, Mo.

Following last weekends race, Coors donated $4,000 to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund to support relief efforts. If the No. 40 car is able to complete all 267 laps of the Protection One 400 race, Coors will donate an additional $2,670 for a total of $6,670 going to help the victims of this tragedy.

In addition to the donation, Coors has developed a special "American Pride" paint scheme for its No. 40 Dodge for this weekends race. The car will not display any Coors' branded identification, but will display the words "Proud to be an American" on the upper-rear quarter panels, and "God Bless America" on the TV panel.

"I really like the red, white and blue paint scheme and I'm excited about racing at a new track this weekend," driver Sterling Marlin said. "It's great to work with a sponsor who is cares so much about the community."
