Thomasville, N.C. (Sept. 25, 2002) -- BLV Motorsports announced today that they will run a special decal scheme on the #40 EMP/Dodge this weekend during the Mr. Goodcents 300 at Kansas Speedway.

18-year-old Busch Series rookie Brian Vickers will proudly display the Victory Junction Gang Camp logo on the quarter panels, TV panel and deck lid of the BLV entry.  The tribute is part of an awareness campaign aimed at helping Kyle and Pattie Petty generate attention and increase charitable donations for the camp which marks its Official Construction Kick-Off in Randleman, N.C. next month.

"The Pettys are wonderful people, and have been inspirational and supportive friends through my entire racing career," Vickers said.  "Kyle has always been there for me whenever I had questions or needed help and we should all be helping him as he strives to make a real difference in the lives of others.  Adam was a dear friend of mine and I know he was committed to helping kids all over the country.  He would absolutely love the concept of this great camp."

The mission of The Victory Junction Gang Camp, a year-round, multi-disease, medical specialty facility, is to enrich the lives of children with chronic or life-threatening illnesses by creating camping experiences that are memorable, exciting, fun, empowering, physically safe and medically sound.  The $24-Million project is solely supported by generous contributions and donations from corporations, individuals, and foundations. No child or family will have to pay to attend the camp.

Located on 62 acres in Randleman, the camp is scheduled to open in the summer of 2004.  Persons wishing to make donations to the camp are encouraged to make checks payable to:
