Roush racing driver Jeff Burton, along with his wife Kim, and Busch Series Sponsor Gain have pledged support to the Duke Children's Hospital in Durham North Carolina. The Hospital is a nationally recognized leader in the field of Pediatric Medicine

Jeff, and his wife Kim have supported the hospital for a number of years with Kim serving on the board of directors, and Jeff promoting the hospital through fund raising efforts.

"Everything here is built around children, so it is not such a scary place. Kids can go there and not be so threatened", noted Burton.

The focus of the new fund raising campaign is built around the number nine Busch series car Burton drives. The car's sponsor, Gain will promote the charity by placing 1-800-DUKE-KIDS on all race and show cars, as well as featuring a special pit stop challenge during the fall race at Richmond International Raceway.

During the Richmond race, each pit stop the Gain team completes in less than seventeen seconds will mean a ten thousand dollar donation to the hospital by the car's sponsor.

Charitable activities is nothing new to the Burton family, Jeff's brother Ward, also a Winston Cup Driver has an established wildlife fund, and is active in environmental causes.
