2011 MX for Children Jackpot Challenge
Top Fundraiser for Children's Hospitals Wins VIP Trip to Monster Energy Supercross Finals in Las Vegas
SEATTLE (February 11, 2011) -- MX for Children announced today the inaugural MX for Children Jackpot Challenge rewarding the top fundraiser a VIP trip for two to the Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, finals at Las Vegas' Sam Boyd Stadium. The Jackpot Challenge is a charitable pledge drive open to anyone over the age of 18 in the United States and Canada.
"It's exciting for us and the children's hospitals that we support to take our efforts to the national stage," said Paul Gross, MX for Children founder. "With the Jackpot Challenge, anyone in the US and Canada can participate by raising money for a great local cause for kids and earn an awesome experience at the Monster Energy Supercross finale in Las Vegas."
MX for Children Jackpot Challenge raises funds for the Hydrocephalus Association, a 501(c)(3), which distributes the donations to the following children's hospitals: Birmingham's Children's Hospital of Alabama, Houston's Texas Children's, Pittsburgh's Children's Hospital, Salt Lake City's Primary Children's, Seattle Children's, St. Louis Children's, and Toronto's SickKids Hospital. The funds go to support the hospitals' research to improve the brain condition hydrocephalus -- the #1 cause of brain surgery for children.
"Once again, we are happy to work with MX for Children in facilitating their efforts at the Monster Energy Supercross finals at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas," said Dave Prater, director of Supercross, Feld Motor Sports. "This is a great cause, and we look forward to rolling out the red carpet for the Jackpot Challenge winner."
2011 participants of MX for Children's Inside Line Experience (ILE) events in Seattle, Salt Lake City, St. Louis, Houston and Toronto can get the holeshot on the Jackpot Challenge by leveraging their ongoing fundraising efforts and apply their final ILE results to the Jackpot Challenge, too.
