Australian Superkart Championship

A large field of Gearbox Superkarts competed for the Australian Superkart Championships Round 1 this weekend. In the 250 International Class four times Australian Champion Warren McIlveen had a clean sweep winning all races in his Stockman Honda. Second position went to Robert Oakley -- back after an almost two year sabbatical also in a Stockman Honda. Robert was fill-in driver for entrant and kart owner Nick Paul who injured his shoulder in a motorcycle accident and could not compete. In third place was Brian Stockman himself.

In the 125 Gearbox class Australia's current champion Sam Zavaglia continued his good form by also taking out all the races in a Stockman. Second position was taken by Mark Rogers also in a Stockman Honda with Tony Lappas third.
