Racing Driver, Sam Tordoff Joins Triple Eight Engineering For BTCC Finale

Leeds racing driver, Sam Tordoff will step up to the top flight of British saloon car racing when he debuts in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) at Brands Hatch on 9-10 October. Sam, 21, will join Championship winning team Triple Eight Engineering for the event in their Vauxhall Vectra.

The Brands Hatch event is the finale of the 2010 BTCC Championship, and a perfect opportunity for the Gardx backed driver to experience Britain's biggest motor racing championship. The BTCC is renowned worldwide as one of the most competitive and challenging championships. For Sam, it marks the realisation of a long held ambition to compete in the very series that inspired him to become a racing driver. With a huge spectator following, the BTCC is afforded unprecedented television coverage, and the three races will be shown in full and live on ITV4 from 11am-6pm on Sunday 10 October.

Sam comes to the BTCC triple race event fresh from a win at Silverstone in his regular 2010 series, the Renault Clio Cup. Having finished 12 of this year's 18 Renault Clio Cup races on the podium.
