Team PSP drivers look forward to return to Brands

The Brands Hatch race weekend will be Team PSP's drivers' first opportunity to revisit a BTCC venue -- and they're out to capitalise on their growing experience in the UK. The PETRONAS-backed team put in some very competitive performances, including setting the fastest race lap, on their first visit to the famed Kent circuit and are keen to notch up more points and their first podium.

Fariqe Hairuman said: "This will be another 'first' weekend for me -- the first time I've returned to a race track in BTCC. Now I have the chance to show what I can do with some experience and track knowledge to help me."

Shaun Watson Smith said: "I'm looking forward to Brands more than usual as it's the first track I will be going to for the second time and also because our pace was so good there the first time. I should be able to hit the ground running from a driving as well as a set-up point of view. I believe it is our best chance for a podium result and will go all out to make it happen."

Mike Carroll, Chief Engineer said: "Last time out at Brands, Shaun set the fastest lap of the race day so we are reasonably optimistic but we must bear in mind that some of the other teams have significantly improved their cars since then."

David Wong, Team Principal, said: "We're delighted to be going back to Brands Hatch and believe we can challenge the front-runners again."
