The brand new team Go To One Charouz Racing System are going to make a real racing debut this weekend. The team are competing in the opening round of the FIA GT championship at Silverstone, Great Britain. The quartet of drivers Adam Lacko, Stepan Vojtech, Ales Jirasek and Kenneth Heyer will share two American Mosler MT 900. The team will compete in the whole FIA GT championship in the G2 class.
The level of the GT championship has been steadily growing in the last years and the championship should get World status within two years. The competition is going to be again a bit bigger this year as the Silverstone grid should have 30 cars of nine manufacturers in the GT1, GT2 and G2 classes.
The popularity of the FIA GT increased last year when the races where shortened from three to two hours with the obvious exception of the 24 hours Spa. Spectators both at the track and in the TV saw very entertaining battles that changed a bit the endurance perception of the championship. The Czech fans can see again the championship on the home soil as it goes to Brno (14/09).

104 Stepan Vojtech, Kenneth Heyer, Mosler MT 900
The entry list comprises of 30 cars of three categories
Adam Lacko: "I am looking forward to it. The FIA GT is a championship that I like a lot. I have already some experience with it as I did few races in the past. Out team is a brand new one also the cars are new and I also have a new team-mate. We know each other with Ales for years but it will be our first race in one car. I hope that we will get used to everything quickly and will be successful. I did not need a lot of time to get used to our Mosler. I hope to enjoy racing with it."
Ales Jirasek: "The first race of any season in a completely new environment is always exciting. I have not gained a lot of experience with the car, so I hope to improve continuously during the weekend and try to avoid mistakes. We will see how we are stand against others what we can aim for. If we do a good race without bigger mistakes it will be a great start. I can not wait to get out on the track."
Stapan Vojtech: "I am basically starting from the scratch. I am returning to the circuits after seven years long break and straight to such competitive championship with a very powerful car. I am going to learn a lot at the beginning partly also due to the fact that I did not do many laps in the testing. However, all our team is on a virtual start line and I believe that we will not make just numbers in the unofficial world championship."
Antonin Charouz, Team Principal Charouz Racing System: "We are just at the beginning. Our drivers will have to learn each other, the cars are new to this championship and I therefore do not want to expect exceptional results right from the go. However, our target for the season is clear - to lead the G2 class and also to get as high as possible in the overall standing."
Andreas Leberle, Technical Liasion, Mosler MT 900: "The tests were quite good , the team and drivers could have done with a few more days for sure. All in all the car, Go To One Team and drivers did a solid job, in testing, we are looking forward to showing the capability of the Mosler MT 900 at the highest level of FIA GT competition, finishing the race and bringing home a win."
Kenneth Heyer: "I am just happy to do my first FIA-GT race in Silverstone because that was the series were I was dreaming of the last years. I want to take part the next years in the FIA-GT and climb up to the first class the next years. I like the GT cars and the FIA-GT has a long and successful history. Being part of it is just a dream. It is also the first race for the team and everyone has to find his right position and all things are new. So for first race I just want to finish the race and maybe win the G2 class. We have to work hard at the first weekends to bring the car to their where it has to be later on. I hope we are able to fight against the GT2 cars after the first two meetings. With Charouz racing system I am just very optimistic because I just heart good things and my three chech teammates are very nice. So hopefully we could also finish on podium like the Charouz Aston Martin Lola at the 1000km Barcelona race."
