Andrea Piccini participated in an important test session yesterday on the Belgium track of Spa. This track will host the 24 hour competition of the FIA GT Championship a few weeks.

After his team mate Jean Deniz Deletraz's retirement, Andrea shared the car for this session with David Sterckx.

"Overall I'm satisfied with how the day went. I only had a small technical problem that made me finish the test session an hour earlier than expected. But at that point we had already covered the program.

"In the morning, everything went smoothly. So much so ,that with the new tyres on, I set very good times , probably the best ones out of the day, just like Campbell Walter's other Lister.

"In the afternoon, we concentrated on testing the tyres and how long they would last in view of the 24 hour competition that will take place on this track on the 27th of July.

"I would like to say good bye to my ex team-mate Jean Deniz. Together with Deletraz, I came close to winning the title last year and this year we proved to be the most valid alternative to the Ferraris. Although I respect his decision, I must say that I was surprised and it was unexpected. Now along with the team, we need to work hard to find a worthy substitute."
