ALL-INKL.COM Muennich Motorsport aims for points ranking again at the fourth season event of the FIA GT1 World Championship at Le Castellet - Successful tests
Friedersdorf/Le Castellet (rol/ot) That was fun and pushing: After gathering the first points at the third event of the FIA GT1 World Championship at Czech Brno on Sunday (23rd of May) the German Team ALL-INKL.COM Muennich Motorsport is confident about gathering the next points coming weekend (2nd to 4th of July) at the track Paul Ricard in Le Castellet at south western France. The racing stable from Friedersdorf (Saxony) and his drivers Dominik Schwager (Munich) and Nicky Pastorelli (Netherlands/Italy) in the Lamborghini Murcielago LP670 RS-V with starting number 38 collected the first six championship points at the championship race of Brno being on position seven. And also the second Muennich-Lamborghini #37 with Marc Basseng (Spremberg-Neusalza) and Thomas Jager (Chemnitz) hasn't been too far away from the points finishing on position 13.
"That already has been a nice performance of our team at Brno. Now we have to confirm and if possible develop that on the track Paul Ricard", tells team principal Rene Munnich. And the team manager Marc Basseng, which is sharing the cockpit this time again with the French Christophe Bouchut, adds: "After Brno we did test drives. I think we are on a good way with our setup development". Bouchut is sharing this opinion. The three times FIA GT champion is looking forward to his home match already. "Paul Ricard is one of the best racing tracks I know. The track is fast and secure and it is always a lot of fun to drive there", told the 43 year old. At Le Castellet the French watched his first Formula 1 race and after that he decided to be a race driver himself.
"Our performance at Brno brought a lot of courage for the whole team. Now we want to build up on this outcome and be continuously between the top ten", explains team principal Munnich. "Maybe we even get the chance to be on the podium this season".
