The Qualifying race saw a larger grid as the FIA GT3 European Championship joined the race. Nicky and Thomas finished this race in 5th position.

It was a wet wet wet and cold weekend. Both races of the Moscow event of the FIA GT1 were declared wet races. The Moscow Raceway was unknown to most and turned out to be challenging and very technical.

The Championship race started behind the safety car as the rain came pooling down. After about 20 minutes the safety car left the track and the race finally started.

Nicky and Thomas drove a good race, moved up to third but with seven minutes to go were hit by the number 4 car, spun and lost five places and a chance to finish on the podium. Nicky and Thomas finished in a disappointing 8th position.

Nicky Pastorelli: “The Championship race went well. The car felt good and I was enjoying the circuit and the race. We overtook some cars and then out of nowhere and totally unnecessary I got hit by the number 4 car and spun. They got a 30 second penalty but that did not help us anymore. Such a waste as a good result was in the cards.”

Nicky and co-driver Thomas Jäger are 5th in the Drivers Championship while the Münnich Motorsport team is leading in the Teams Championship.
