Graham Nash Motorsport is gearing-up to compete in its first ever event at Oschersleben in Germany later this month, as its two Saleen S7-Rs take to the track for the eighth round of the FIA GT Championship.

At Anderstorp the team proved that it could compete with the Championship leaders in terms of raw pace, the No7 Saleen of Erdos and Newton starting from an impressive second on the grid ahead of the Ferrari Maranellos, Lister Storms and Chrysler Vipers. Sadly, in an action-packed contest, a tussle with Piccini in a Lister Storm sowed the seeds for the premature retirement of the Saleen.

Said GNM's team manager Gordon Davies: "Anderstorp was really a case of what might have been, with Tommy putting on a tremendous performance for the first quarter of the race. Looking ahead, from what we have seen of Oschersleben so far, it is going to be a big test for drivers and cars alike. The tight, winding nature of the track makes it a completely different experience from the Swedish circuit, with overtaking opportunities much more limited. Despite the challenges, we will be pushing for the front row in qualifying again and hope for a points finish this time around."

GNM currently lies sixth in the Team Championship but, with only 10.5 points between the British outfit and third place, will be looking for a result from both Saleens to drive its way back-up the table.
