Gabriele Gardel - nr 1 BMS Scuderia Italia Ferrari 550 Maranello : "It's gone really well today; we were fastest in the first session. We will try to make two stints on the same tyres, try some different strategy for the race. This year we have made some mistakes and had some bad luck. We will do our best at each race; there is a big gap in the Championship. If something happens, so much the better. If not, at least we have tried our best; the team has won the Championship and hopefully we will be second."

Lilian Bryner - nr 3 Care Racing Ferrari 550 Maranello : "We've had some problems today. The 100-kilo ballast we carry is making it hard as well. Particularly on a circuit like this one, you really feel the weight. I generally prefer faster tracks. We really have to struggle to find some grip here. Still, I think we should be in the first three rows of the grid if everything goes well."

Uwe Alzen - nr 5 Vitaphone Racing Team Saleen S7 : "This is certainly not my favorite track. The conditions are the same for everyone, of course, but I don't enjoy driving here - even though I've been quite successful here in the past. I even hold the track record and even won some races in the STW Cup. In any case, I really hope that it's going to stay dry this weekend. I will leave most of the work to Michael though, both in qualifying and during the race."

Jose Pedro Fontes - nr 8 RML Saleen S7 : "This is the first time I've driven a GT. I like the series a lot. It's difficult to come from the Rally cars to those, though! The sessions today were good. The gap to my teammate is not too wide. In fact, my times are very close to his. My teammate arranged the set-up, and I tried to get some mileage. I really like the fast corners!"

Emanuele Naspetti - nr 13 GPC Giesse Ferrari 575 M Maranello : "The afternoon session was not so bad. We tried to solve our understeer problem. It was a little bit better than in the first session, but we're still not really happy. We still don't have the balance we need for the long-distance race. We'll just try to get in a good laptime in the first qualifying session tomorrow and then work on the car for the race. We have the whole afternoon session to solve the problem."

Tarso Marques - nr 17 JMB Racing Ferrari 575 M Maranello : "It went quite well! For me, everything is still new. I've never driven this type of car before, and it's the first time I've been racing on this circuit as well. I managed to do fifteen laps this morning, and another 15 in the afternoon session. The lap times were competitive, and there was no mechanical problem. Driving the GT car is completely different than anything I've driven before, but I like it."

Bert Longin - nr 18 JMB Racing Ferrari 575 M Maranello : "The second session was quite good. I improved a lot since the morning session. I'm quite happy with the balance of the car, but we're still too far away from the front of the grid. The nr 13 Ferrari 575 is up in second position while we're 13th and 14th. We just don't know what to do. Sure, we will improve tomorrow - but the others will improve as well, and the result will be about the same. I think the difference is probably down to the tyres. At the moment, it looks like the Pirellis are faster. Other than that, I'm quite happy with the way things are going. I think I've improved a lot since the beginning of the season. The only problem is that you don't get as much mileage done when there are three drivers sharing a car."

Chris Buncombe - nr 18 JMB Racing Ferrari 575 M Maranello : "I'm feeling much more at home in the car. It's my first time on this circuit, so it's a bit unknown again. It's a more technical circuit than I expected. I did a few laps on the computer game before we came here. In the second session, I settled in and tried to go race pace. I'm happy generally, compared to the other guys in the team. We're still lacking pace for qualifying, but I think our race pace is okay. I'm enjoying the Championship a lot. I'm very pleased with the way the team is working. They found the balance between working professionally and having a good time."

Mika Salo - nr 33 AF Corse Maserati MC12 : "We just used the sessions today to check which tyres we are going to use and to concentrate on finding the right set-up. We saw in Imola that the qualifying position is very important, so our goal for tomorrow is to qualify higher. Our race pace is very strong, as we saw again today. The car works very well. It's just the qualifying we have to work on - and we can do that."

Emmanuel Collard - nr 50 Freisinger Yukos Motorsport Porsche 996 GT3-RS : "The sessions today were not bad! We are second in our class, which is a good position. The only problem for us is the ballast. We're carrying the maximum weight now, 75 kilos. But we're not all that far away from the other Porsche, so that's okay. The track is not easy, though. The GT cars are very quick, but can't overtake because of the many slow corners and chicanes."

Christian Pescatori - nr 62 GPC Giesse Ferrari 360 Modena : "I'm very happy. We tried driving with a full tank today, like in the race, and the car was very fast. We need a good result if we want to keep the championship open. It won't be easy to finish first here, though. The Porsches are very fast on this circuit. In Imola, we were about one second ahead of them, but it's different here. It will be a hard race."

Christian Ried - nr. 69 Proton Competition Porsche 996 : "In the first session, we had a problem with the shock absorber. It burst, but we could repair the car before the end of the session and get some laps in. Things are going well. We're quite happy with our position in the classification. Now all we need to do is beat the Ferrari. But I suppose that's not realistic, under normal circumstances. But it's a good year for us. We'll have to see how it will go tomorrow."
