ALL-INKL.COM Muennich Motorsport wants to gather points again in the home race at the GT1 World on Nurburgring -Bobsleigh team from Altenberg as new pit stop crew
Friedersdorf/Nurburgring (rol/ot) The German team ALL-INKL.COM Muennich Motorsport comes up with something very special at the sixth season event of the FIA GT1 World Championship on the Nurburgring: The team from Friedersdorf (Saxony) hired a new pit stop crew for the season runs eleven and twelve. That will be a Bobsleigh team from Altenberg that wants to push the whole crew of Rene Munnich forward.
"We already were training for some weeks together with the guys from Altenberg. That is great fun", tells team manager Marc Basseng, which is behind the wheel of the Lamborghini Murcielago LP670 RS-V with starting number 37. This time he will share the cockpit with the German Thomas Jager (Chemnitz) again instead of the French Christophe Bouchut. "The Bobsleigh drivers are very strong and stress resistant. We hope for better times at the pit stop because of that", underlines Basseng. "In the end we want to reach the points ranking for the third time this season." Last time Dominik Schwager (Munich) and Nicky Pastorelli (Netherlands/Italy) in the Munnich-Lamborghini with starting number 38 made that happen being on position nine at the half time race at Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium).
Of course the only Germany race of the GT1 World on the Nurburgring is a home race for the Team ALL-INKL.COM Muennich Motorsport - and a very special one for Marc Basseng. Because the driver and team manager that lives at Neusalza-Spremberg (Saxony) at the moment is born at Cologne and drove his first laps on the Nurburgring "Nordschleife" at the age of 15 already. And he gathered 21 altogether victories in different cars on the so called "Green Hell" piste in the Eifel. "Sure we don't drive at the "Nordschleife" but I know the Nurburgring very good. That is my home track and this time we want to be successful at the GT1 championship as well", underlines Basseng that caused furor already last weekend at a run of the International German Rallycross Championship (DRX) being the winner of this event.
