MOWLEM INKS DEAL WITH EBIMOTORS FOR 24 HOURS OF SPA

CHARVIL, England (July 11, 2006) -- British sports car star Johnny Mowlem announced today that he will compete in the July 29 Proximus 24 Hours of Spa. Mowlem will drive a Porsche 996 GT3 for Italy's Ebimotors team.

The berth in the race at the world famous Spa Francorchamps track means Mowlem will drive in all three of the world's premiere 24 hours races this season. He has already competed at Daytona and LeMans.

"I've raced and won at Spa before, but never in the 24 hour race," Mowlem said. "This will be a great chance to compete there, as I've raced with the Ebimotors team in the past."

Mowlem drove for the same team in the 2005 Rolex 24 at Daytona. The team has Porsche factory support and will be among the favorites to win the GT2 class. Ebimotors is currently second in the GT2 team standings. The race will be the fourth round in the FIA GT Championship.

"I'm really very pleased to have this opportunity," said Mowlem. "It is very difficult to race in all three of the great 24 hour events in one season, since they are sanctioned by three different organizations with three different schedules. Having said that, it's always been something that I've wanted to try and achieve, so that makes this opportunity even sweeter".

Ever the busy driver, Mowlem will drive an Aston Martin DBR9S campaigned by Tom Papadopoulos' Autosport Design Racing Team July 15 in the SCCA World GT Challenge at the new Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah, USA before the race at Spa.

After the 24 hour race, he'll head back to North America for a round of testing the Aston Martin prior to the World GT Challenge event at Road America.
