The fifth race and the fifth win for team-mates Matteo Bobbi and Thomas Biagi. In spite of the 100 kg of handicap weight, Matteo was able to qualify in sixth place with the Ferrari 550 Maranello. During the first session of the race, Bobbi was able to gain a few positions regardless of the contact he had with Hezemans which sent him off track. At the end, team-mates Bobbi and Biagi distanced themselves from the other competitors by one lap and sealed their victory. Once again the driver from Milan was one of the main protagonists.

"This weekend immediately started on a positive note. After a fruitful free practice session, I was able to get the sixth place during the qualifications. A pretty good result considering the 100 kg of handicap weight that makes our car heavier. We got around this problem by working on the balance of the car until we found the right solution for the race. It sometimes felt like the 100 kg weren't there.

"This race was very exciting especially during the first session. At the start, I immediately gained two positions and moved up to the fourth place. All the overtaking followed till I had to battle for the first position with Hezemans. The manoeuvre to conquer the first position was difficult .So much so that my Ferrari and Hezemans' Lister made contact. While Hezemans was trying to regain the first position, he hit my back side and threw me off track. I slotted into sixth place with some damage to the car: I had to start all over again.

"Yet I ended the first session in second place, marking another great conquest. Thomas Biagi did very well in the second session and managed to overtake Deletraz's Lister and inherited the first position. When Biagi handed the car over to me, I administered the race but never let my guard down. In fact we distanced ourselves from our adversaries by one lap. I can't hide my great satisfaction for the fifth consecutive win but it's not in my nature for me to rest on my glories. We will confront the next races with the same grit and determination to be the main protagonists again."
