FIA GT Championship Move To Event In Zolder. AF Corse Starts From The Podium Of The First Race Thanks To The Perfomances Of Ardagna-CirÒ And Lyons-Gai.
The FIA GT1 World Championship and the European FIA GT3 travel to Belgium for the second round of the 2012 season at Zolder (for the European races the events are the same in both championships). AF Corse lines up four Ferrari 458 Italia shared between the two prestigious international event.
Starting from the GT3 drivers already on the podium in Nogaro, opening round of the FIA Championships, the two AF Corse Ferrari 458 will be driven by Gaetano Ardagna-Giuseppe Cirò and Michael Lyons-Stefano Gai. Both cars have real possibilities to confirm and improve the results gained in France, thanks to their talent and to the Ferrari 458 Italia at their disposal. Ardagna and Cirò are the reigning champions of the International GT Sprint 2011, Gai won several Ferrari Challenge championship and Lyons is a young man with a real talent and is showing to be very fast.
In the FIA GT1 World Championship, the two AF Corse Ferrari 458 Italia will be driven by Francesco Castellacci-Enzo Ide and Filip Salaquarda-Toni Vilander. In this championship, the drivers and team feel like to race for the top positions of the ranking, after the opening event affected by weather conditions ended with results below the potential of the cars and the drivers.
