Radford returns to Wales Rally GB

A year on from the toughest rally of his life Sheffield based Wayne Radford returns to Wales Rally GB in his Amberguard Security backed Mitsubishi Evo 9.

On the 2006 event Wayne had to contend with all sorts of dramas, ranging from a pre event road accident, caused by a negligent driver coming the other way, through to breaking 2 wheels in one stage and a host of other minor issues-- but was more than pleased to finish the gruelling 3 day event.

2007 has been a mixed season for the www.designplus.co.uk supported Mitsubishi Evo Cup contender as an assortment of mid season mechanical gremlins scuppered his championship hopes. A recent strong run on the Premier Rally has renewed Wayne's enthusiasm for the sport and as a result he travels to the final round of the World Rally Championship looking forward to tackling some of the most famous stages in the world.

Last years Wales Rally GB was such a tough event, but we finished without using super rally. To me this is what rallying is all about, overcoming obstacles and soldiering on-- and most importantly, having fun! I'm really looking forward to this year's event.

I'd also like to say a massive thanks to CPP for the use of their car.

Wayne will once more be co-driven by Paul Drew in the Mitsubishi Evo 9. The pair will begin preparations for Wales Rally GB with a 2 day recce before taking to the ceremonial start in Cardiff on Thursday 29th November 2007 for the three day rally.
